I stumbled upon it on Jalan a few years ago and had always wanted to go, so my first visit to Bernatio was a long-awaited dream come true!
There were plenty of activities on the hotel's spacious grounds, and we were able to fully enjoy our 2-night, 3-day stay just by doing those.
The summer night tour, the Alps adventure, and the soba noodle making experience were particularly valuable experiences not only for the children but also for us adults.
The food was just as delicious as the reviews said, especially the roast beef and alcohol-infused chocolates for dinner, and the salted rice balls for breakfast were fantastic. My son seemed to really like the pork shabu-shabu.
I also enjoyed being able to compare different types of rice from Niigata Prefecture, among other things, every time.
There were two bathrooms, and since I had the chance, I tried both on different days. The shampoo bar where you could choose your shampoo was also a nice touch.
Both the changing rooms and the bathrooms were clean, and we didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Our family particularly liked the spacious bathrooms in the main building.
We had a fantastic 2-night, 3-day trip, playing lots of games, eating delicious buffet food, soaking in hot springs, and more... We returned home saying we didn't want to go home.
It was a hotel that lived up to my expectations, and I would definitely like to visit again!

I had a wonderful time with my son's family.
Last year, my grandchildren were quite happy staying in a room in the annex, but this year we're staying in a cottage, and they were instantly thrilled by the atmosphere of the room.
I've already decided which room I'll use, and I'm so excited!
The food was as delicious as ever, and everyone enjoyed their favorite dishes to the fullest.
I was also grateful that you celebrated my birthday.
The staff even sang along to celebrate with us.
It was embarrassing, but it became a good memory.
They took a picture for me and even framed it. Thank you so much!
Although the cottage building is separate from the main building, they offered a car shuttle service, so I was able to enjoy alcoholic beverages without any worries.
On the second day, we all participated in an adventure activity in the morning, but it was unexpectedly difficult, and the whole family was filled with regret, thinking, "This wasn't supposed to happen." It took a while, but we finally managed to complete it.
Even after returning home, we've been excitedly talking about how scary it was.
My grandchildren were able to spend a fulfilling time swimming in the pool, making herbariums, and dyeing fabrics.
It was only a 2-night, 3-day trip, but it went by so quickly. I hope to visit again next year.

This was our second visit. Last time, my wife and I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room in the annex, and for meals, we had dinner at the Western restaurant and breakfast at the buffet.
Overall, I felt it was a very good hotel. This time, we visited with three families (including two elementary school-aged grandchildren).
My two grandchildren were very happy with all the events, especially the athletic activities. They even tried them again the next day.
